IRS Audit of Foundation’s 2001 Tax Returns

In 2004, the Maddox Foundation’s tax returns and financial information for the 2001 calendar year was audited by the Internal Revenue service. The audit included both the final Form 990-PF filed by the Maddox Foundation as a Tennessee trust, for the period of January 1 – July 31, 2001, and the first Form 990-PF filed by the Maddox Foundation as a Mississippi nonprofit corporation, for the period of August 1 – December 31, 2001.

On November 23, 2004, the Internal Revenue Service issued a letter to the Maddox Foundation accepting these tax returns as filed for the 2001 calendar year.
