Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee
Assumes Ownership of Cleghorn Building

Maddox Foundation has strengthened philanthropy in Middle Tennessee with the gift of the Maddox Building at 3833 Cleghorn Avenue to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee. Formerly the corporate offices of noted philanthropists Margaret and Dan Maddox, this two-story, 13,000 square foot building, valued at $1.6 million at the time of its transfer (mid 2006), is being

used by The Community Foundation to house its administrative offices and conduct other vital community functions. Since its move to Mississippi, Maddox Foundation has also graciously allowed the Community Foundation to occupy this facility at no cost prior to the transfer, resulting in operational savings in excess of $280,000.
The donation of this building enables The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to enhance lives throughout Middle Tennessee with programs that educate and entertain, that heal, clothe and feed, and that protect and preserve animals and the historic structures we love, all causes that were embraced by the Maddoxes. In thanking Maddox Foundation and its President, Robin G. Costa, for this gift, The Community Foundation remembers the generosity and vision of its founders, Margaret and Dan Maddox, and pledges to continue their legacy for all time in Middle Tennessee.
